11am- ORGANIC GARDENING IN SHORT SEASONS
Do you enjoy growing your own delectable food but wish the growing season was longer? Contrary to popular belief, many herbs and vegetables can be grown and harvested well before Memorial Day and after the first frost, even here in the Northeast. Join Finger Lakes native Petra Page-Mann of Fruition Seeds and learn her tips & tricks for extending your growing season.
12pm- ECO FRIENDLY SOLUTIONS TO HELP DETER BIG & LI'L CRITTERS
Pesky critters can take all the fun out of gardening, especially here in Centeral New York.
In this seminar, Tom Cardillo from Everguard Repellents will share strategies to help deter deer, rabbits, ticks and mosquitoes from making your backyard and garden their home.
1pm- BETTER BEE GARDENING - LEARN HOW TO START YOUR OWN!
Nikki Howard of UrbanFarmGirl Apiaries will share how to start a bee-friendly garden or even a hive of your own! Come learn how to entice pollinators to your garden, support your local bee population and even the basics of getting started in beepkeeping.
2pm- SAVINGS THE POLLINATORS ONE YARD AT A TIME
Ever wonder how you can make a difference in the world? Learn how your landscaping
choices can have meaningful effects. Help our pollinators endure when you join Dickman Farms Garden Center's Kate Ward and discover who our pollinators are, what they do, and why they're important.
10AM- MAKE YOUR LANDSCAPE AND PLANTINGS THRIVE
Proper soil preperation is the first and most important step to any lawn or garden project.
Charlie Shields from Espoma will discuss the how and why of lawn and garden preparation and maintenance. He'll share solutions to help you get the most out of your yard and garden, using products and practicies that are safe for you, your children, pets and the environment.
This session will include time for assistance with your specific situations and projects.
Open to gardeners of all skill levels.
11am- SPRING TRAINING FOR PLANTING POWERFUL CONTAINERS
Join the Dickman Farms Garden Coaches and learn how to select and combine a team
of plants to build dynamic, big & bold planters that are true performers and worthy
of a "high five" when you finish. All levels of interest and experience are invited to attend.
1pm- USING NATIVE PLANTS TO CREATE A BEAUTIFUL LOW-MAINTENANCE LANDSCAPE
Native plants provide the keystone to help bring life to your garden. Join Jason Cheeseman from Willoway Nurseries as he explores how our American Beauties native plants attract songbirds, butterflies, and other beneficials to your garden, all while supporting our pollinators.
2pm- FROM DREAM TO REALITY - BOTANICAL GARDEN DESIGN APPROACHES FOR THE HOME GARDEN
Ever visit a botanical garden or read a fine gardening magazine and dream "I'd love that in my garden!"?
Do the designs sometimes seem unrealistic or are you unsure where to start? Fear not! Dickman Farms Garden Center's Stephanie Whitehouse has insights to share on easy ways to bring the elements of the designs showcased at botanical gardens and in Martha Steward Living home to your own garden.

Go Fly a Kite!
Children can get into the spring spirit and color their own butterfly kite.
Then take you creation outside the garden center and let your imagination soar!
$5 workshop fee includes kite and art supplies. While supplies last.
"Go & Grow" Basket of Blooms
Plant up a bit of spring with this seasonally inspired basket workshop.
Choose from two sizes of baskets, and our Garden Stylists will teach you how to layer and plant a colorful and unique combination.
$15 workshop fee for small, and $25 fee for large basket includes basket, select plants, soil and creative guidance. Final price depends upon additional materials used.
