Felting wool is one of the oldest forms of textile art which involves matting, condensing, and pressing woolen fibers together. Join local artist, Lorrie Butcher & her felting tools, as you learn the basic techniques of needle felting. You will learn how to manipulate the felt fibers back and forth using the many sharp barbs on the specialty needle, pulling the fibers in, and locking them into place. By the end of this 90 min class, you will be amazed at the transformation that occurs from strands of wool to a finished art piece.
11am – In Person Class. Limited to 10 participants. $45 registration fee per person includes use of felting tools, assorted supplies to create art piece, design guidance and instruction.
